I needed the work to be completed by a certain time due to the deadline on the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund GDHIF and even though they were very busy they took the job on for me. John was great right from the start, he also helped with various paper work that was needed and the work was completed on time. O'Connell’s Drywall is a very reliable and fast-working company that does good quality work and has competitive prices.
When considering to update the insulation in our 100 year old house, we did a lot of research into the best and most up to date insulation options and had a number of companies coming around and discussing about the project and quoting us for the work. John was the first company to answer our query and also very fast and accurate with a quote. He was also very knowledgeable about different insulation options and regulations. However, we did want to speak to other companies to assess our options and choose the best company for the job. After a few months we finally decided for O'Connells Drywall, which was not the cheapest quote, but gave us the most confidence in that they knew what they were doing. The job itself was done very professionally and surprisingly quick. When John and his workers came at the agreed date, which was very soon after we decided to use them, as opposed to other companies giving us months of lead time, we expected a lengthy and messy process. However, after about half a day of work, the insulation was already installed in our two bedrooms and the plastering and woodwork followed shortly after. In less than two days they finished the job and we had two newly insulated bedrooms. We were very impressed with the work and are sure to use O'Connell’s Drywall for the rest of the house as well and we will certainly recommend them to anyone who will ask us about internal wall insulation

At the end of 2011, we had what we thought was extensive additional insulation installed in the roof of our chalet bungalow. The project degenerated into chaos and we were left with a situation which could have caused our roof timbers to rot over time.
We contacted John O'Connell who came over and gave us a sensible opinion with options. We had several meetings and formulated a plan of action to rectify the situation.
The work was carried out in July 2012; we had to move out for a period of six weeks to enable the job to be done thoroughly and efficiently. This was a difficult and stressful time for us, especially given our previous experience, but John and his team worked really hard to make it as easy as possible for us. We were kept informed and involved on a daily basis, and any concerns were dealt with immediately. The work was carried out tidily and within the planned timeframe, and our home was handed back to us finished and cleaned to a high standard.
Whilst we were hugely relieved once it was all over, we can say that John and his team did a grand job in what was a difficult situation. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
